Tues July 18 kicks off Belgian Indepence Week with a tribute to St. Arnoldus. We couldn’t think of anything that says ‘celebration’ more than beer, mussels, and frites!
Every July 18, Belgians honor Saint Arnoldus, the patron saint of brewers, hop pickers and innkeepers. He’s most famous for urging his congregation to “Drink Beer, Not Water” during a plague epidemic. Because beer is sterilized in production and the local water was the source of the sickness, people were saved. A true miracle!
To celebrate, we will be tapping St. Bernardus Abt 12, St. Bernardus Tripel, St. Bernardus Wit, Val Dieu Grand Cru, and Duchesse de Bourgogne. We will also be joined by Alex from D&V International distributors, who will be giving away some beers and merch.
We will also be featuring our infamous Mussels & Frites. Our mussels will be prepared in a St. Bernardus Wit bier broth. Get them July 18th-22nd while supplies last.
In addition to beer merch, Brasserie V merch will be available for purchase all week!
