Perennial Artisan Ales Abraxas and Distant Land Tappings

Abraxas is a mystic word made up of Greek letters. It is referred to as Abrasax in some sources, which may have been the earlier spelling. The word was believed to have magical properties and was inscribed on ancient charms and amulets. This Friday, we will be tapping the magical beer Abraxas, from our friends at Perennial Artisan Ales.

For those who don’t know(?), Abraxas is an Imperial Stout brewed with ancho chili peppers, cacao nibs, vanilla beans, and cinnamon sticks. Pouring deep brown with a thick head, this beer has a complex body with a delicious lingering roastiness. Yes, it’s as good as it sounds. We will be offering in 9oz pours only, so more can enjoy!

We will also be pouring another cool Perennial brew, Distant Land, a Belgian style Saison brewed with Flaked Oats and fermented with their house saison strain, then package conditioned naturally with Brettanomyces claussenii. A late hop addition of Mosaic lend to the tropical flavors produced by the B. claussenii. Lightly hoppy, lightly funky to help get us through the long nights of Winter.
