Revolution Brewing Progressive Barrel-Aged Tappings

One of the best breweries in the barrel-aged world right now is Chicago’s Revolution Brewing. We have been lucky enough to acquire several of their recent releases, so decided instead of the usual tap takeover all at once, we would do another progressive tapping “event”:  we will tap one at a time, and when it kicks, the next one on the list will immediately take its place. To add to the fun, whoever orders the last pour on each keg will receive Longtable swag. Follow along on social media for updates as we near the end of each keg.

Here’s the lineup:

Straight Jacket – ON TAP NOW! – 13.1%

After 12 months in bourbon barrels, this barleywine emerges with notes of stone fruit, toasted coconut, molasses, and vanilla. A WOW beer for sure!

Ryeway to Heaven 2018 – 14.5%

Bourbon and rye barrels work together in harmony to breathe life into this unforgettable ale, which is brewed with over 60% rye, yielding entirely unique malt- and barrel-derived complexities. Enjoy an ample body that suggests sweetness but still finishes smooth and dry.

La Petite Deth – 13%

Deth’s Tar for Francophiles. This Imperial Oatmeal Stout was aged in French oak barrels that originally held Cognac, then Mineshaft Gap barrel-aged American Barleywine. Sublime notes of vanilla, dried stone fruit, caramel, and leather parley with dark chocolate and roast to create this one-of-a-kind take on Deth’s Tar.
